My father-in-law is extremely impressed with this product. In fact, he says it is the best Christmas gift he has ever received.

4 out of 5 stars ncstar X2 Cross Bow   November 7, 2009

Received bow 3 days ago with mixed apprehention after reading 2 of the unfavorable reviews. If the rails are lubricated with standard bow string wax as with any cross bow.....it functions normally. The engineering/design of this product is remarkable. It is difficult to believe a country(China)can design, produce, ship and market this item for $50. (scarry) Impressive!!! VR Hoser

3 out of 5 stars Weak Bow   November 5, 2009

Its a fun item to mess around with but its definitely not a toy. Up close it can be quite dangerous. Mine came with 2 sets of plastic arrows. I couldn't get nether to work well with the string that goes on the end of this thing. They would just pass through without catching the line. But after using it for 3 days the fiberglass bow at the end of the gun busted. Quite painful to be hit in the face with. I'm not sure if its just the one I got but the duration on this thing just isn't what I expected. Another issue was with the draw back deal. There is two metal rails that run down the side and connects to the stock and you are then to use the stock to pull back the metal wire so it can latch onto the trigger. After about 50 or 60 shots, the metal rails seemed to somehow get hung on the sliding plates which caused it be stuck, so I'd have to pull up on the rails then try to bend the stock down. If the bow didn't break then this would've been a good item. One last thing is the scope. Its probably better off you don't use the scope. It looks cool and everything but at the end unless you know how to 'sight in' one of these things, its best to use sights on the gun.
